Course Description

This is a 6-lesson course on data analytics using R. This course will introduce you to important data analytics practices used by businesses today. We will explore key areas such as the analytical process, how data is created, stored, accessed, and how the organization works with data.

Moreover, in this course, you will learn fundamental statistical concepts and understand how to analyze data using statistical tools as implemented through R programming packages. You will also learn introductory programming concepts such as data structures and programming logic as implemented in R.

This course also provides a basis for going deeper into advanced investigative and computational methods, which you have an opportunity to explore in future data analytics courses.

Prerequisites

No prerequisites are required. No prior R programming experience is assumed.

Course Objectives

At the end of this course, students should be able to use R to process and analyze data by choosing appropriate statistical tools and models, and understand how to use the data to make business decisions.
